Who Is Kevin Harvick’s Wife DeLana Harvick? Net Worth, NASCAR Ownership, Fire-suit Banter, and More

Most NASCAR wives often support their husbands on and off the race track, but there is only a handful who have developed the acumen to pursue a business career involving the sport. One such woman, whose presence in the NASCAR community has been well regarded is Kevin Harvick’s wife, DeLana Harvick.

DeLana married Harvick back in February 2001. Their marriage took place just two weeks after the death of Dale Earnhardt Sr. Therefore, she had been thrust into the spotlight alongside her husband, who was tasked with replacing the Intimidator at RCR.

Over the years, she has gone through team ownership, to work at the Kevin Harvick Foundation among several other things. But who exactly is DeLana Harvick?

Where does she come from and what are her racing roots from her family’s side?

Who is DeLana Harvick and does she play a role in NASCAR?

DeLana Harvick was born into a racing family back in 7th July 1973. Hailing from North Carolina, DeLana’s father was John Paul Linville, who used to race in what is now known as the NASCAR Xfinity series. So in a way, she had been connected to the racing lifestyle early on in her life.

Furthermore, unlike most NASCAR wives, Kevin Harvick’s partner has been actively involved with the sport across various levels. She used to co-own a racing team along with her husband, and she takes charge of their marketing and operations. However, the team was sold off to Richard Childress back in 2011.

As of 2020, popular net worth estimated that DeLana had amassed a net worth of $17.9 million through her business acumen and other notable work. Speaking of notable work, DeLana remains heavily involved in her husband’s foundation, which works towards raising money for welfare and charitable goals.

What was the firesuit banter involving Kevin Harvick’s wife?

Back in 2010, Harvick and Joey Logano had been involved in an on-track incident. Following this, Logano attempted to brawl with Harvick, after he pulled up his car right next to Harvick and got out, only to be surrounded by officials and his crew. The pair supposedly had a verbal altercation, but later on, when Logano spoke with the media, he made a pretty snazzy comment against Harvick’s manhood and involved his wife in the conundrum.

Speaking to the media, a young Logano mentioned, “It’s probably not his fault. It’s his wife who wears the firesuit in his family.” Since he made that snide comment, there had been several back and forth’s between the two drivers, but after a while they buried the hatchet. Thankfully years later, Logano also mentioned how he should not have brought Harvick’s wife into their matter.

Interestingly, Harvick recently decided to surprise Logano by donating $12,000 to Logano’s foundation. Hilariously, the money was raised from selling T-shirts with reference to Logano’s infamous quote.

The shirt read, “I wear the firesuit in this family.” It was a fine gesture on Harvick’s part, one that ended their rivalry on a rather sweet note.
