“Ah F**k”: Nikola Jokic's Attempt At Finding Novak Djokovic Text Following NBA Finals And Grand Slam Win Hilariously ‘Fouled’

It has been a great past few days for Serbia. On Sunday, Novak Djokovic defeated Casper Ruud to win his 3rd French Open. Creating history, the 36-year-old sensation also became the first man to rack up 23 career Grand Slam titles. Merely a day after, Nikola Jokic would lead the Nuggets to the franchise’s first-ever NBA title and would be the recipient of the 2023 Finals MVP trophy. Wanting to see whether or not the World No. 1 tennis star congratulated him following Game 5’s win, the Joker would end up cussing during the postgame interview.

After finishing the regular season with 24.5/11.8/9.8 and leading the Nuggets to the #1 spot in the West, the 5-time All-Star managed to take things up a notch in the postseason. Having eliminated the All-Star duos of Devin Booker-Kevin Durant and LeBron James-Anthony Davis, the 6-foor-11 big man clinched a berth in the NBA Finals.

Putting up 30.2 points, 14 rebounds, and 7.2 assists in the finals, Nikola’s greatness played a huge contribution towards the Colorado side eliminating the Miami Heat. Finishing the playoff as the leader of points, rebounds, and assists, the 2-time Most Valuable Player was declared the 2023 Finals MVP.

Nikola Jokic cusses during the postgame interview in search of Novak Djokovic’s text

Jokic and Djokovic have been cheering each other on throughout the past few weeks. And so, after becoming the NBA champions, the 28-year-old center wanted to check whether or not his countryman congratulated him.

During the postgame interview, the European took out his phone in front of the media and was left baffled by the constant text messages he kept receiving. With his phone continuously buzzing, Jokic was unable to find Djoko’s message which led him to use foul language on live TV.

“Ah f**k”

Winning the French Open and the NBA title will have an adverse effect on Novak and Nikola’s careers, respectively.

Djokovic is now the most successful tennis player ever. While Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are two of the game’s greatest ever, winning the 23rd Grand Slam title has put “Nole” as a frontrunner for GOAT conversations. Looking as strong as ever, Djokovic could even go on to finish the season by winning Wimbledon as well as the US Open.

Whereas, Jokic has now entered the top 10 all-time centers conversation. Having added some significant silverware to his resume, the 5-time All-NBA player is now the best player in the world.

Jimmy Butler was also following the French Open despite a hectic schedule

Nikola wasn’t the only one following the Roland Garros. Despite being in a tough 7-game battle against the Celtics and then the finals series against Mike Malone’s boys, Jimmy Buckets would spend time watching the tennis tournament.

While the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals MVP backed Alexander Zverev and Coco Gauff to win their 1st Grand Slams.

Unfortunately, Zverev would lose to Ruud in the semifinals. As for Gauff, the American teenager would fall short at the Quarter-Final bout of the tournament to the eventual champion Iga Swiatek.
