Amid Michael Jordan's $1,700,000,000 Hornets Rumors, Scoot Henderson Books Workout With Mystery NBA Team

Last month, the San Antonio Spurs, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Portland Trail Blazers received the first three picks of the 2023 Draft. Scoot Henderson has come up as arguably the best prospect in the upcoming class. So, he likely won’t drop below 3rd, making the likelihood of him playing for one of the mentioned three franchises extremely high. The $1,700,000,000 worth Hornets, will have a chance to land the 6ft 2′ point guard unless a mystery team makes an undeniable trade offer to its owner, Michael Jordan.

There is a certainty that Victor Wembanyama, Henderson, and Brandon Miller will be the Top-3 picks, in the same order. And even if there are surprises on the big day, it will be the Spurs, Hornets, or Blazers, who’d draft him and then flip him for a star.

Scoot Henderson works out with Blazers and a mystery team

The G League Ignite guard, Scoot Henderson recently had a workout with the Portland Trail Blazers. With uncertainty around Damian Lillard’s future, they are the most likely team he could play for in a few days.

The Hornets already have a 21-year-old LaMelo Ball at the point guard position, so it’s unlikely they will go for another one to team up with their young All-Star. Also, with Jordan looking to sell the Hornets at some point soon, he wouldn’t risk having a team with drama and confusion over the position. So, that means that the man is likely there for the taking. And sure enough, there seems to be a mystery team he has booked a workout with. Take a look at the Reddit post below.

It could be the Spurs who might try and trade some of their picks and players to team up Wemby and Scoot. It could be the Rockets, Pistons, or even the Magic, all teams who have the next three picks in the draft and also the assets to trade up for a guard who could be a generational talent.

Scoot already has found a mentor in Stephen Curry

Already built like a player that has been in the NBA for at least 5 years, Scoot Henderson, just has one drawback in his game — 3-point shooting. However, he has the best man in the world to mentor him for it.

After the G-league season ended, he took no time in approaching Stephen Curry’s team.

Curry even had some kind and encouraging words for the upcoming star of the NBA, “Scoot’s an unbelievable talent. He’s a high-character guy. It’s going to be cool to compete with him on the floor.”  Massive expectations for a massive talent.
