Before Gifting Yvette Prieto $1 Million Engagement Ring, 6ft 6″ Michael Jordan Was ‘curved’ by Garcelle Beauvais

When one thinks about Michael Jordan, one instantly remembers his Jumpman logo and his legendary career. I mean, why wouldn’t they? MJ’s Jordan Brand has earned him global fame, and over $1.3 Billion. At the same time, he had an NBA career that people can only dream of. 6x NBA Championships, 6x Finals MVP, 5x NBA MVP, 14x All-Star and so much more.

Jordan’s success wasn’t only limited to the basketball court though. Off the court as well, he was quite popular with the ladies. With the 6ft 6″ frame that he had, and his killer smile, it was no secret that His Airness was a ladies’ man.

MJ was married to Juanita Vanoy for 17 years and split with her in 2006. After that, he married Yvette Prieto in 2013. However, in between the two, there were other women, one of whom was actress Garcelle Beauvais.

Michael Jordan was once ‘curved’ over a premature Hawaii trip

After an ugly split with Juanita Vanoy, Michael Jordan was back to being single, and was rumored to be dating a lot of popular women. However, even when MJ was married to Vanoy, there were several rumors about him dating other women. One of the women was Garcelle Beauvais. In her memoir, ‘Love Me as I am’, she revealed how much fun she had working with MJ during her early days as a model in New York City.

As picked from her memoir, Beauvais recalls the same and said,

“I was impressed by how tall and handsome he was. He took me on a golf date after the shoot and showed me how to hold a club properly and swing,” she wrote, revealing that the athlete later invited her to go to Hawaii with him, but she declined. “Like a naive little girl, I was ‘clutching my pearls’ and shocked by the idea of going to Hawaii with a man I had just met.”

Looking back at the same, Garcelle confessed and said, “I blew that one up!”

Jordan bought a $1 Million engagement ring for Yvette Preito

Having met Yvette Prieto in 2007 in a club in Miami, many claim it was love at first sight for the two. A little after a year of meeting, the two moved in together. In 2011, Michael Jordan popped he question. He went all-out and bought Prieto a $1 Million engagement ring.

The couple tied the knot in 2013, and had twin daughters in 2014. They’ve been together as a married couple for nine years now.
