“Bet a Million”: Blazers’ superstar Damian Lillard closes all doors to a team-up with LeBron James and the Lakers with a single tweet
Blazers’ superstar Damian Lillard shatters all hopes of Lakers’ fans, puts out a single tweet to shut all Lakers’ trade doors
The 2021 NBA offseason has been full of various moves. While the number of stars involved in free agency and trading wasn’t as much, but there sure was a lot of noise around them. Bradley Beal and Damian Lillard were surrounded by trade rumors ever since the season ended for their respective franchises.
For a month or so, the loudest rumors were of Damian Lillard joining forces with LeBron James and the Lakers. However, those rumors died down when the Lakers acquired Russell Westbrook. The Lakers then added a whole bunch of players. With the flurry of moves, they left no option for Lillard to make his way over to the Lakers. However, a few Laker loyals were still hopeful that Lillard would make his way to Tinseltown, at least till last night.
Damian Lillard shatters any hope of team-up with LeBron James and the Lakers
Once again, Damian Lillard has put his trust in the Portland front office, in the hopes that they’d build a roster around him good enough for contention. However, with the moves they’ve made so far, it doesn’t look like Lillard would be very pleased.
This had the Lakers fans hope that there is still a chance that their team can trade for Lillard. However, Dame crushed their hope with one small tweet. A fan had made a tweet saying,”How much y’all wanna bet that before the NBA season starts the lakers will STILL get Damian Lillard lol”
To this, Dame had a three-word response, ‘Bet a Million.’

Even though the Lakers’ trade chances are now zero, there are still other teams in the running to possibly trade for Dame. One of the biggest names on this list is the Sixers. It should be worthwhile to see how things end up with Damian Lillard, and if the Blazers can keep him content.
