Candace Parker is one of the greatest WNBA players ever. The Chicago Sky forward is a 6-time All-Star, 2-time MVP, WNBA champ, WNBA Finals MVP, 2-time Olympic gold medalist, and now is the only female player ever, to be the cover athlete of the popular game NBA 2K.

Playing the NBA 2K video game is almost every hoopers favourite pastime. And being the cover athlete of the game is everyone’s dream. Moments after the cover athletes were announced, Parker revealed how much this honour meant to her.

“The cover of NBA 2K is such a pivotal platform to inspire young ballers, and I wanted future WNBA stars to know that they can be cover athletes too. Representation matters, so this is a special moment of progress for the sport and the series. To be part of this historic cover is a testament to the growth and rising popularity of the women’s game, and I’m proud to be the first female cover athlete to be the face of NBA 2K.”
