"Can't agree with any all-time list that doesn't have Kobe Bryant top 5": Shaquille O'Neal sees eye to eye with Jamal Crawford on NBA all-time rankings

Shaquille O’Neal reposted a quote on Kobe Bryant by Jamal Crawford with the caption ‘I quadruple agree’. Crawford was talking about Kobe’s top 5 status.

There are few players whose difference in perception between players and fans is starker than that of Kobe Bryant. During his playing days, the notion of Kobe being a ball-hogger and an indiscriminate chucker was rampant.

That narrative was fed a ton of fodder through Kobe’s final 3 seasons when he was the Lakers’ only real scorer. The team had to tank, with him not in a position to lead a playoff team. Bryant suffered a significant loss to his career counting stats and field goal percentage.

The Lakers legend put in 17 years of excellent play for the team. This included some of the heaviest scoring barrages in all of NBA history. Kobe did stuff that even the likes of Wilt Chamberlain didn’t match.

Shaquille O’Neal agrees with Jamal Crawford on the ranking of Kobe Bryant

One of the greatest aspects of the legend that made Kobe Bryant was the terror he struck in his opponents. There are many stars and retired players who still refuse to rank LeBron James over him.

Jamal Crawford and Shaquille O’Neal may or may not agree with that, but they certainly have Kobe in their top 5. Shaq posted a Jamal Crawford quote on Instagram yesterday with this message.

Shaq and Kobe Bryant won 3 championships and went to 4 NBA Finals together. Many people rank the two as the greatest duo in NBA history, and with good reason. Shaq was the most dominant player – of all time, possibly – while Kobe was the best perimeter player in the league.
