“Chris Paul got dunked on by Giannis as LeBron James watched”: NBA Fans react to Bucks superstar’s signature dunk to win NBA Finals Game 5

NBA Twitter was in its element after Game 5 of the Finals tonight. Chris Paul was the subject of a plethora of memes as LeBron James caught strays.

Giannis, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton finally displayed their two-way best together as Milwaukee took a famous road win. They battled back from a sizeable deficit to build a lead of their own, but they almost blew it at the end.

Monty Williams switched coverages in the 4th, placing Devin Booker or Chris Paul on Khris Middleton for much of the period. Mikal Bridges was entrusted with the responsibility of providing help defense on Giannis.

Chris Paul hit the gas hard in the 4th on offense as well. His propensity to push the ball forced the Bucks to help on him and make defensive rotations. These opened up chances for the team to move the ball better than they had in 2 previous quarters.

As a result, the Suns were able to string together a 24-12 run by the final minute of the game. But all of their great play came to naught because of some questionable decision-making by Devin Booker.

Jrue Holiday was able to effect a steal coming in from Booker’s left. He knocked the ball away and set off on the races in transition. Giannis, who’d been waiting for a transition opportunity a long time, got in position to receive a perfect lob and jam it down over a despairing Chris Paul foul.

The 123-119 defeat spurred a ton of internet memes on everyone. Chris Paul, who’d been cold for much of the game, caught some heat from fans as well.
