"CJ McCollum, you aren't nice, but super nice": LeBron James compliments Blazers guard after CJ said he's indifferent to whether he ever makes an All-Star Game

LeBron James and CJ McCollum went head to head in the playoffs last year. James has immense respect for the guard’s play, as his tweet shows.

The Portland Trail Blazers emerged from their clash against the Heat last night with a hard-fought victory. The game was a close affair all through its duration, and it took some clutch play from CJ McCollum to close it out for the Blazers.

CJ finished the night with 35 points on 14-of-25 shooting from the field. This figure included his 6-of-14 figures from downtown. McCollum is playing his way back from a leg injury he suffered in January, and this game was a massive boost.

Following the game, CJ said this in an interview: “If I never make an All-Star Game, I won’t be sad about it because I know I’m nice.”

LeBron James compliments CJ McCollum: “You aren’t just nice, but super nice bro”

James seems to have seen CJ’s scintillating post-game interview. Having seen CJ up close all through his career, LeBron understands just how good the combo guard can be. James posted this message to his Instagram stories.

LeBron is probably the most likeable superstar the NBA has produced since Magic Johnson. There were some who wouldn’t really rub off well with MJ’s brand of tough love and trash talk.

But James seems to be a genuinely nice guy except for the rare occasion that he feels extremely slighted. This is true both on and off the court. The King is secure with his place as the class of the league, so he never has a problem with doling out compliments.
