Clippers starting lineup 2020

Clippers starting lineup 2020 is largely settled, and with Paul George regaining full fitness, they have a great chance of clinching the NBA title.

NBA superstar Kawhi Leonard and his Clippers are one of the favourites to win the NBA championships this year. With a team comprising of multi time All-star Paul George, Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams and a deep supporting cast, they seem ready to challenge for the title.

For the first time ever, the battle for LA might end up dominating the NBA landscape. The Clippers hold a 2-1 advantage over Staples Center rivals and 16 time NBA Champions Los Angeles Lakers. Clippers are currently behind the Lakers and Bucks in the championship odds. But with Kawhi Leonard and co. forming a formidable and a balanced unit, the Clippers have a great chance of going all the way this season.

But how will the Clippers line up?

Reigning NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and defensive juggernaut Paul George seem ready to dominate together after the break. The NBA superstars haven’t played together much since arriving at the Staples Center the previous summer. They are touted to form one of the deadliest wing defenders combination in the NBA.

Who else are favoured to start for the title challengers?

Patrick Beverley, Marcus Morris and Ivica Zubac seem to be favourites to start along with the two all stars.

Unlike most teams, being in the starting lineup doesn’t mean much for the Clippers.  Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams will get most of the minutes in the backcourt, with Lou Williams touted as the clutch scorer for the Clippers.

Rodney McGruder could also see extra playing time going forward. At center, Ivica Zubac should remain in his starting role with Montrezl Harrell playing the bigger role overall.

When everyone is healthy, Morris could end up in the starting lineup at the 4, per Haynes, with Paul George moving to the 2. JaMychal Green might see his playing time shrink.

Morris’ improved shooting, making 43.9 percent from beyond the arc, has made him a valuable asset in any spot.

This also allows the Clippers to keep the pressure off Kawhi Leonard and George, and gives Doc Rivers plenty of options to select from.

Predicted Clippers Starting Lineup 2020

SG: Paul George

SF: Kawhi Leonard
