LeBron James may have been setting records when he was young, but it looks like his son Bronny James has found at least one way to one-up him.

Bronny was recently featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated for his gaming prowess as a member of the esports organization FaZe clan.

LeBron James wanted to remind his son, that this wasn’t something new, and that he was still the youngest one in the family to make SI’s cover and not his son. He would say:

“When he got on the cover, I was like, ‘You know I was younger than you, right?'”

However, Bronny had a quick come back to this and ended up shutting down any notion that the Lakers superstar was actually the youngest in the family on the cover.

LeBron James Gets Trolled By Bronny James Over His Age For FaZe Clan Feature On Sports Illustrated Cover

Bronny James may be following in his father’s footsteps when it comes to choosing basketball as his career, but video game is definitely a mainstay in his life, something LeBron admitted to as well:

“Bronny plays video games all day. I mean, he loves basketball, he plays basketball, loves being a big brother to his little brother and sister. But video games is his thing.”

Bronny and FaZe Clan’s efforts have not gone unnoticed, and as a result, it’s made him the youngest member of the James household to feature on Sports Illustrated.

Yes, it’s true. Bronny barely made it past LeBron as the youngest one in the family, beating the Lakers star out by six months. LeBron would later say:

“And then he did some research—all these kids got all these phones, which we didn’t have when I was growing up—he was like, ‘Dad, no, you were six months older than me. Now I’m the youngest guy in the household on Sports Illustrated.'”

The craziest thing about all this might be that Bronny could make the Sports Illustrated cover twice for two completely different things. Basketball still runs in his blood, and if his game evolves the way he and his father LeBron hope it does, then he could be back for a basketball feature too.

Things are looking bright for LeBron, Bronny, and the rest of the family. You can see LeBron talk about this, Space Jam, and a lot more here.
