De’Aaron Fox made fun of the Knicks when they landed the 8th spot in the 2020 NBA Draft; the Kings lost their 9th straight game.

Despite the New York Knicks’ terrible records, they’ve been dealt the short end of the stick when it comes to the NBA Draft as of late. The Knicks have actually not had the number one overall pick since the 1985 NBA season where they drafted Patrick Ewing using the pick.
The Knicks have had some of the worst records in the league for quite some time. But they have continually missed out on snagging the number 1 overall pick in the Draft.
Most famously in recent memory, the Knicks were dealt the 3rd pick in the 2019 Draft. They missed out on Zion Williamson, much to Stephen A. Smith’s dismay.
Following a lackluster 2019-20 season, the New York Knicks were hopeful of getting a top 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. However, as the Knicks’ luck would play out, they ended up with the 8th pick. De’Aaron Fox immediately took to Twitter to troll Knicks fans following the release of the Draft order.
De’Aaron Fox clowned on the Knicks but is now struggling with the Sacramento Kings
Back in August of 2020, when the Draft order was released, De’Aaron Fox didn’t hold back on his opinions concerning the Knicks’ continued bad luck when it comes to the Draft.
“To be honest, I wasn’t clowning the Knicks. It was aimed at expecting a top 3 pick and getting 8. No slander at all.”
Fast-forward to the present day and the Knicks are currently a top 6 seed while De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings delve into obscurity. In a moment of irony for Knicks fans, they have just handed the Kings their 9th straight loss. This brings the Kings’ record to 12-20.
Knicks fans took to Reddit and Twitter to clown on Fox for ‘speaking too soon’ on the Knicks. To be fair though, Fox has been having a career year this season. He has been doing everything he can to try to keep the Kings afloat. He dropped 29 on the Knicks, but as it would play out, it was not enough.
