“Utah Jazz have 0% chance of winning an NBA title”: Nick Wright backs LeBron James and his Lakers to get out of their funk after blowout loss to league leaders
LeBron James may have fallen in most people’s MVP leaderboards at the moment, but Nick Wright believes he’ll still be Ironman in the playoffs.
The Lakers suffered a humbling at the hands of the Jazz last night. They got played off the court on both ends of the floor as the Jazz came away with a 114-89 win. Their defense lay in tatters as the Jazz punched holes in the paint and from range repeatedly.
Donovan Mitchell capped off the game with a thumping 3rd quarter dunk. That play was essentially the Lakers’ night in a nutshell – poor individual defense leading to a complete breakdown. None of the Jazz players scored above 20, but 7 of them went to double digits.
With that being said, we all know what James is capable of in the playoffs. The King has made it to 10 Finals in 17 NBA seasons, so we should give him a pass for a regular season slide.
That was the point that Nick Wright should have been making instead of talking trash to Utah. For the Lakers might be missing two of their best players, but the Jazz are legitimate contenders.
Nick Wright on LeBron James turning up against Utah Jazz in the playoffs
Nick Wright posted an asinine take regarding Utah that may well come back to bite him. Wright believes the Jazz are nothing but pretenders in the race to an NBA championship:
“The Jazz have 0% chance to win the title. … Without AD, this Lakers team is a lot like that Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma, LeBron team. If this team shows up in the playoffs they’re screwed. But it’s not going to be.”

Ruling the Jazz out after such a marauding start is something only a foolhardy man would do.
