Despite Paying $2500 Bail After Being Arrested with Carmen Electra, Dennis Rodman Once Merely Smiled After Fighting with Ex-Wife

Dennis Rodman’s eccentric and whimsical personality was a never-ending source of fodder for the press back in the day. His off-court shenanigans, especially involving his tumultuous relationships, dominated the headlines at the time. Rodman’s most notable relationship was with Hollywood star Carmen Electra. The two dated for a while and were even married. But things ended after a year because of their numerous fights. In fact, back in 1999, the two were arrested on battery charges. However, as reports revealed, the Worm just smiled after the incident transpired.

Rodman’s wild and unpredictable nature extended to his relationships, which lacked stability. This pattern persisted with Carmen Electra, highlighting his penchant for unconventional connections and his tendency to resist conventional relationship norms.

Carmen Electra was married to Dennis Rodman from 1998 to 1999. It was a short marriage, one that was marked with constant fighting. In fact, the two were caught fighting publicly on several occasions. And these fights often led to the police getting involved.

One time, when the Worm was in Florida shooting the movie “Cut Away”, the celebrity couple went at it again. Things got so bad, that the two, who were staying at the Bentley hotel in South Beach, had cops called on them by other boarders. Upon their arrival, the police charged Rodman and Electra with simple battery and arrested them.

According to an AP report, “Electra and Rodman received minor injuries which didn’t require medical attention…Electra suffered bruising on her arm, an injury to her left temple and a swollen lip when Rodman allegedly threw her purse at her face. She also cut a toe on her left foot after being thrown outside the hotel room the two were sharing, according to a police report. Rodman’s shirt was torn and the room was in disarray when police arrived.”

It was an embarrassing and difficult situation for both of them. But the two were released on $2500 bail each, hours after being taken into custody. Despite all this Rodman was unfazed. In fact, once he was released, he just smiled and asked his driver where they were going.

“Rodman smiled as he left, saying “Where are we going? Where are we going?″ as he was led to a white Mercedes-Benz sedan that whisked him away.”

Shortly after the incident, Rodman and Electra parted ways, ending their marriage. However, while their relationship had an ugly end, the two had some great times when they first started going out.

Rodman and Electra had a great relationship before their ugly parting

Things weren’t always so bad for Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra. Back when they had started dating, the two were almost inseparable. In fact, fans were given a sneak peek into their relationship in The Last Dance documentary, including the time when they hid from Michael Jordan. However, while they did initially have a great time, things changed when they got married.

They weren’t right for each other and Rodman even filed for an annulment nine days into their married life. They did reconcile, but six months later, they chose to end things.

It certainly was an unconventional relationship. One that both parties definitely regretted. Thankfully, they’ve both moved on with their lives to bigger and better things.
