"Deuce Wants to Be Me and Spiderman": Jayson Tatum's Son Hilariously Enamored By $100,000,000 Movie

Jayson Tatum may be a popular basketball player in NBA circles, but his son Deuce has clearly had daddy dearest beat for the last half-decade. The adorable little toddler has been known to run around on NBA floors while his father warmed up for an upcoming game. And now, Tatum has even started divulging other parts of his son’s shenanigans to the wider public. And it appears that the $100,000,000 movie, ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse’ had a lot to do with the most recent one.

A few short years ago, Celtics fans knew of Deuce. However, they didn’t think much of him. But now, the 5-year-old has successfully captured the hearts of a million fans across the world. His playful jumping around and mischievous nature were adorable enough on their own. But, as if to elevate it past everything he has done before, he recently even decided to take an interview. Take a look at it in the YouTube clip below.

But what has he done now? And what does Spider-Man have to do with it?

Jayson Tatum tweets about how Spider-Man may take his place in Deuce’s life

A role model is of tantamount importance in the life of any child. And being the poised and mature NBA player he is, Jayson Tatum is a great one for Deuce. Yet, he could already be on his way out, as he explained in a recent tweet.

“New spider man movie so good deuce told me “daddy I think I changed my mind I might want to be spider man when I grow up… but I still want to be you” Good save son, good save!”

To be fair to Deuce, ‘Across the Spiderverse’ was a stellar movie. And once you add the fact that Miles Morales is an amazing role model too, you have some stiff competition.

That said, as Jayson reveals in his tweet, he hasn’t lost Deuce yet. In fact, he the toddler wants to be his father, and Spider-Man.

For obvious reasons, one of those things is impossible. However, who is going to have the courage to tell this starry-eyed kid that? It’s a good thing he is adorable too, considering the stunt his father pulled before he got drafted into the NBA.

Jayson Tatum failed to mention his girlfriend’s pregnancy from the NBA before he was drafted

Heading into the 2017 NBA draft, Jayson Tatum was one of the top projected prospects. He was almost guaranteed to go in the top 3, which in turn set him up for quite the future. And for obvious reasons, he did not want to risk all that. Add to that the fact that the news had made him sick to his stomach, and suddenly you have a whole mess on your hands. Read all the details about what happened next right here.
