Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors have not been able to win a single game at the Golden 1 Center in these Playoffs. It is the first time that Stephen Curry has ever gone down 0-2 in the Playoffs in his career as the Dubs will look to capture their first win of the series back home at Chase Center.

In the midst of the chaos of this thrilling Game 2 that saw the Warriors nearly claw back in the waning minutes of the bout, Draymond made headlines. In a fit of rage, the former Defensive Player of the Year stomped on Domantas Sabonis’s mid-section after Sabonis grabbed Green’s leg at the 7:03 mark of the 4th quarter.
Sabonis was assessed a technical foul for grabbing Green’s leg and Draymond was flat out ejected, having been assessed a Flagrant 2. While he was waiting to receive word on what foul he was given, he would stir up drama with Kings fans, even calling them ‘pu**y’.

Damian Lillard on the Draymond Green ejection
Damian Lillard and Draymond Green, despite having faced off in the Playoffs on a multitude of ejections, are actually quite close off the court. The two bonded during the previous Olympics and it seems as though Dame has a bit of a bias in his say on the Green-Sabonis scuffle.
According to the Portland Trailblazers All-Star, it is because of Sabonis grabbing Green’s leg that the latter had no other choice but to step on him given that his balance was off. He would also claim that Domantas took a take foul on the play that wasn’t taken into consideration.
Take foul on Sabonis … I didn’t think Dray tried to step down … that’s just how his balance ended up 🤷🏽♂️…

While Dray’s balance does seem a bit off, he clearly had an intent to stomp on Domantas. His foot did not slide off his chest/mid-section, rather, he bent his knee and then hit him in the area.
In a way, both things can be true at once. Draymond could have lost his balance because of Domantas and in anger, he could’ve also looked to stomp on him. According to Adrian Wojnarowksi, the Kings All-Star center is undergoing X-rays on his ribs and lungs following the Game 2 win.
