"Get Us to the Playoffs in One Piece!": Klay Thompson Believes in Warriors' Playoff Chances, Puts One Condition

The Golden State Warriors faltered on the road yet again. After winning a historic game at the Alamodome, the Warriors made their way to the United Center. Facing the Bulls, the Dubs were handed a 132-118 loss. Klay Thompson led the scoring for the Warriors with 26 points, shooting 8/15 from the deep, but that wasn’t enough.

Nikola Vucevic had a career night, scoring 43 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, dishing 4 assists, and recording 4 steals.

Despite shooting better, rebounding more, and recording more assists, the Warriors lost to the Bulls because of their sloppy turnovers. The hosts only turned over the ball ten times, whereas the defending champions did it 23 times. If that wasn’t bad enough, the Warriors continued their trend of fouling, landing themselves in trouble.

After the game, Klay Thompson sat with the media, where they talked about the upcoming playoffs and more.

Klay Thompson puts one condition on Playoff success

The NBA season has crossed the halfway mark. Till now, the teams know what they’re capable of and what are their glaring issues. The Golden State Warriors continue to surprise everyone. After a terrible start to the season, the Warriors had a patch where they did brilliantly. Since then, they had a rough patch and were good again. Currently, the Dubs have lost four out of their last five games.

After the game, Klay Thompson was asked if the team was concerned about their playoff chances. Klay replied and said,

“Just get us there healthy, in one piece, hopefully with a decent seed.”

The defending champions are still confident in their ability to play teams in a seven-game series. However, before we get to the postseason, they have 39 more games, that they need to win. The West is more competitive than it has been in a while, and every game makes a difference in the seeding.

Stephen Curry points out the reason behind the Warriors’ inconsistency

After the loss, the leader of the team, Stephen Curry, talked about the reason behind the team’s inconsistency. He talked about the team’s lack of intelligence and discipline, which has held them back to .500. Until they figure that out, the team will continue to do so.

If the Warriors manage to secure a seeding in the Top-6, then it would be them as the defending champions who would need to be feared. Their ‘Championship DNA’ has gotten them through tough stretches before, and there is no reason for it to fail them this year.
