'Giannis Antetokounmpo ran from James Harden and Luka Doncic': Kendrick Perkins' take on Bucks star interjected by Woj's Jayson Tatum comment

Kendricks Perkins says Giannis Antetokounmpo ran from challenges by James Harden and Luka Doncic. Adrian Wojnarowski throws in Jayson Tatum.

The rivalry between Giannis and Harden is a real thing now. The Greek Freak has beaten the Rockets star en route to an MVP trophy two years in a row now. Both players have taken subtle shots at the other in the media regarding playing styles and talent. Neither seems to like the other.

Giannis vs Luka is a rivalry that is now in its fledgling stages. The Slovenian got the better of the Nigerian-born MVP in their last faceoff in the bubble. The Mavs became the only team to get a season sweep of the Bucks last season.

Many believe that it is the Slovenian’s time to come, over the next decade or so. Doncic has all the tools of the trade and is one of the savviest players in the league since his first day in the NBA.

Kendrick Perkins, Adrian Wojnarowski agree on Giannis Antetokounmpo

Former NBA champion and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins had a little stuff to say about the Greek Freak:

“Giannis don’t guard nobody. … He ran from James Harden, he ran from Luka.”

Adrian Wojnarowski appears to agree with his coworker at ESPN, but also interested in taking a dig at Perkins:

“He didn’t run from Jayson Tatum, how did that work out for him?”

Woj was obviously referring to Jayson Tatum’s improbable gamewinner over Giannis last night. The shot was a bank shot from 24 feet on the left wing on a stepback, with Giannis draped all over Tatum. Ah, if only Giannis had any such range on his jumpshot.
