Phil Heath says Michael Jordan and ‘fearless’ Kobe Bryant are his all-time favourites

In an interview with NFL legend Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast, the 5ft 9’ majestic Bodybuilding legend, revealed his favourite basketball players while complaining about the fact that his native, Seattle, doesn’t have a basketball team anymore.

However, when there was a team (Supersonics), his favourite was still MJ, as he described his “jaw dropped” when he saw the Bulls legend for the first time playing against the Seattle Supersonics.

He also revealed his go-to franchise to be the Los Angeles Lakers and naturally said Kobe Bryant is also equally his favourite.

“That’s (Michael Jordan) my 1A and my 1B is Kobe,” Heath talked about the ultimate competitiveness in Bryant and how both of them would always tell what are they going to do and then do it.

He was also in the Division I Basketball Team but did not take it as a profession later on. And bodybuilding universe must be thankful to him that he didn’t. The 42-year-old is now a legend in the industry, with arguably the perfect physique for a bodybuilder.
