“Giannis Had Early Access to the Script!”: Shaquille O’Neal Marvels at Bucks’ Star ‘Predicting’ Damian Lillard’s $45.64 Million Move
The Milwaukee Bucks made headlines, two days ago, when they sealed the deal for Damian Lillard. Giving up Jrue Holiday and a few picks, the Bucks were able to bring another superstar onto the roster. It was a huge $45.64 million move, but one that Giannis Antetokounmpo may have predicted during the 2023 All-Star Game. Speaking about whom he would draft as captain, the Greek Freak had high praise for Dame’s clutch gene. Fast forward a few months and the deal is done, leaving Shaquille O’Neal to marvel over it on Instagram.
Dame’s move to the Bucks meant a whole lot to the Bucks organization and their fans. Over the last few months, rumors were swirling about Giannis’ future in Milwaukee. The two-time MVP rejected a contract extension, claiming he wanted to know if the franchise had the same vision as him.
Well, with the trade for Dame D.O.L.L.A., those rumors can be put to rest. After all, bringing in a superstar of this caliber clearly shows Giannis that the team has one goal, an NBA Championship.
Shaquille O’Neal stunned as video reveals Giannis Antetokounmpo may have predicted the Damian Lillard trade
In 2023, Giannis Antetokounmpo was selected as captain for the All-Star Game. With a talented draft board in front of him, the Greek Freak had an incredible list of players to choose from. And, with his first pick, he made the decision to draft Damian Lillard. A player whose clutch gene he praised.
Now, as of two days ago, Dame will officially be playing with Giannis for the entirety of the regular season. With the Milwaukee Bucks finalizing a three-team trade, fans have a lot to look forward to in the 2023-2024 season. However, Shaquille O’Neal is impressed by something entirely different.
Completely in awe of what seems to be Giannis’ psychic abilities, Shaq took to Instagram to share the very video of the 2021 NBA Champion listing the reasons he would pick Lillard for the All-Star Game.
“I feel Damian Lillard on our team…I really feel Damian Lillard…he’s gonna close the game out. The year I won (All-Star Game MVP)…the year I won, he was the one who took the ball past half-court and…made it!”

It certainly is a bit eerie. After all, Lillard is a player who, as Giannis stated, can close out a game and is capable of hitting threes from deep. So, it’s no wonder The Big Aristotle is thoroughly impressed with Antetokounmpo for accurately “predicting” what Dame would bring to the Bucks. A few years back, LBJ pulled off a similar move.
LeBron James did something similar with Anthony Davis in 2019
The weird part of this whole situation is the fact that this isn’t the first time this has happened. Back in 2019, Giannis Antetokounmpo once again found himself as the All-Star team captain. However, this time around, the phenomenon took place not for him, but for his opposing captain LeBron James.
Using his first pick in the second round of the draft, The King selected Anthony Davis, who at the time was playing for the New Orleans Pelicans. A few months later, AD was wearing a Lakers jersey and playing alongside LBJ.
It certainly is an interesting coincidence. Or, perhaps some NBA players really can predict the future. Perhaps it will prompt Shaq to earn another Ph.D. His thesis this time could surround the supernatural powers of NBA superstars.
