"Giannis' poor free-throw shooting in these NBA Finals flies under the radar": Bucks superstar's incredible clutch moments have covered up his freebie troubles

Analyzing the whole counting situation during Giannis Antetokounmpo’s free-throw shooting, especially during the 2021 NBA Finals.

The Milwaukee Bucks have clinched a berth in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1974. Giannis, who has been under the radar for his poor performances, come post-season has proved all his critics wrong in the 2021 NBA Playoffs.

The former 2x MVP is currently averaging 32.2 PPG, 13.0 RPG, 5.6 APG, 1.4 SPG, and 1.2 BPG on an impressive 61.2% shooting from the field so far in the NBA Finals.

The Bucks have clearly turned the tide after being down 0-2 in the Finals initially. The Greek Freak has taken the reigns of the team in his hand, scoring back-to-back 40-point double-double. The Bucks are currently only one win away from winning the 2021 NBA championship.

However, the Bucks superstar continues to struggle from the free-throw line. Giannis shot a dismal 55.6% from the foul line in the current 2021 NBA Playoffs.

If this wasn’t enough, Giannis taking too much time at the free-throw line before shooting has given the opposing team fans a weapon to further play with the psyche of the superstar when he shoots. As soon as Giannis goes to the foul line during an away match, the entire arena begins a 10 seconds countdown.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s free-throw woes

The former DPOY has shot 60.4% from the free-throw line in his 6 post-season appearances. However, this year his weak spot has come more into the limelight than it ever was.

Though the 5x NBA All-Star has been playing some of his best basketball currently, his inefficiency at the free-throw line continues to haunt him, especially with fans counting 10 seconds and most of the time in a fast manner.

The latest being an NBA fan giving the 10 seconds countdown a new variant by counting money when Giannis goes to the free-throw line.

It won’t be wrong to say that the whole counting situation has affected Giannis’ shooting from the free-throw line, who had missed a couple of clutch free throws in the last few games of the NBA Finals.

Giannis’ free-throw struggles have been overshadowed by some great plays on both ends of the floor in the 2021 NBA Finals

The Greek Freak has managed to pull the Bucks back after being down 0-2 in the NBA Finals. The superstar has had back-to-back 40+ points games in the NBA Finals, joining the likes of Shaquille O’ Neal and Michael Jordan in doing so.

Giannis had one of the best blocks in recent times during Game Four, with many comparing his block on the 7-foot Deandre Ayton to that of LeBron James in the 2016 NBA Finals.

Though Giannis continues to struggle from the free-throw line, his clutch plays on both ends of the floor have clearly helped to mask his free-throw woes.
