"Giannis pulls off a LeBron move in Game 6": The Greek Freak makes an exact copy of King James' travel in 2019

Giannis Antetokounmpo pulls off a LeBron James in Game Six of the 2021 NBA Finals. The Greek Freak forgets to dribble the ball mid-way.

Giannis probably had one of the greatest Finals performances in Game Six against the Phoenix Suns. The Milwaukee superstar 50.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 5.0 blocks on an incredible 64.0% shooting from the field.

However, only a few minutes into the 2nd quarter, Giannis was called for a traveling violation. This hilarious moment had everyone in splits. Though, Giannis looked rather bewildered at the call.

The above play was an exact imitation of what LeBron James did during the 2019-20 season in a match against Utah Jazz.

The Lakers superstar had a similar moment in which he is very evidently seen walking with the ball. The Jazz players and a few audience members at the front-court seats seem surprised at the referee not calling out the violation.

Interestingly, LeBron lucked out in the above case, while Giannis had to give the possession to the Suns.

One of the major reasons for these contradictory calls is the NBA Finals. While LeBron traveled during a regular-season match, Giannis did this in a pivotal Game Six of the NBA Finals, which would have the referees hooked onto each movement during the match.

Giannis’ travel in Game 6 of the NBA Finals was met with some hilarious reactions on social media

The Bucks were crowned the 2021 NBA champions, with Giannis being the Finals MVP. The online trolls, however, never miss any moment and were able to capture a hilarious instance of Giannis traveling during the 2nd quarter of the match.

What followed was some rib-tickling reactions.

The above instances clearly go to show that even the greats of the game are not immune to mistakes. In the past as well superstars such as Russell Westbrook, Kemba Walker, and Dirk Nowitzki have been caught committing the travel violation.
