“Gold Diggin Idiots”: Ja Morant’s Gun Slinging IG Live Drew Extreme Criticism from Comedian Andrew Schultz
Ja Morant has once again found himself on the wrong side of the headlines. His antics with guns continue to be a cause for concern for both the Memphis Grizzlies and the NBA. However, Ja does not seem to be concerned, and that is where he draws heavy criticism from comedian Andrew Schulz. For context, Morant was once again caught gunslinging on Instagram Live. And, while it wasn’t his account, it was one that belonged to his friend. That leads to the question, why are his friends putting him in such dicey situations?
This is exactly what Schulz wondered about on his Flagrant podcast. This led the comedian to attack Ja and his friends, condemning them for their lack of responsibility and accountability.
Andrew Schulz takes shots at Ja Morant and his friends following his latest gunslinging incident
This season has been one to forget for Ja Morant. While he was in great form all season, it is off the court where things have gone terribly awry. In particular, due to his inability to stay away from guns.
The Grizzlies superstar was once again filmed flashing a gun while jamming to some tunes in his car. The only difference is that this time it wasn’t him filming, but rather one of his friends. And, despite knowing his history, the friend still chose to go Live on Instagram.
This is where Andrew Schulz comes in. The comedian went in on Ja and his friends, calling them out for their idiocy. He was particularly annoyed with Morant’s friends, claiming that they were “clout-gobbling” and “gold-digging” idiots. Especially considering they should be the ones who protect him from making such mistakes.
“He has his friends, who are all…clout gobbling…gold digging idiots because you about to f**k up the gold mine. Like…don’t put your boy on Live…ever!!! If you are living off of him…don’t put him on Live ever! What’s the point? I’m not saying he’s not accountable for his actions. He needs to be accountable for his actions 100%. But, if that’s your man and you really f**k with him…you don’t want him to get into any trouble.”
A very valid assessment from Schulz. After all, your friends should be the ones telling you right from wrong. But, clearly, Morant doesn’t keep good company. Something Shannon Sharpe warned him about.
Shannon Sharpe once warned Ja about the people he keeps around him
It’s safe to say, that Ja Morant has created quite a mess for himself. And, his friends and the company he keeps are not helping. The funny thing is, UNDISPUTED‘s Shannon Sharpe warned him of this earlier this year. Almost immediately after news broke that his friends threatened the Pacers’ staff members.
It looks like Uncle Shannon had it right. Nothing good has come from Ja associating with the people he currently hangs out with. It’s high time he widens his circle and finds a set of more mature and responsible friends.
