“Gordon Hayward is answering his haters”: Heat legend Dwyane Wade praises Hornets star in the wake of his game-winner against Orlando Magic
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade shares a funny GIF after Gordon Hayward capped off his 39-point against the Magic with a game winner.
This offseason, everyone was shocked to hear when Gordon Hayward left the Boston Celtics. What was even surprising for some people was that the Charlotte Hornets signed Hayward on a majestic four-year, $120 million contract.
Every NBA fan hated and criticised the signing, the amount paid to him in particular. People thought that Michael Jordan and his Hornets franchise had wasted $120 million. People saw this deal as a potential repeat of the Nicolas Batum contrary situation.
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade has taken notice of Hayward’s success. Wade also posted a hilarious GIF on his Twitter that Hayward has been silencing all his haters and the hate he received surrounding his huge contract.

15 games into the season, Hayward has been proving to everyone why he is worth every money paid to him. It was expected of him to lead the team and become the best player, but Hayward has exceeded the expectations and has fit perfectly well with the whole roster as well. Since joining the Hornets, Hayward has been playing some great basketball.
‘Gordon Hayward has been a difference-maker’: Hornets star is having the best year of his career
Charlotte Hornets head coach, James Borrego stated in an interview about how Hayward can’t alone be the team’s saviour. Gordon Hayward has been putting up great numbers this season while leading a young Charlotte team to an impressive 7-9 record.
Gordon Hayward is currently averaging 24.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season. The 24 points Hayward has been averaging is his career’s best so far. There is absolutely no doubting Gordon Hayward and any of his abilities – leadership or playing.
He has proved all his haters wrong and has been the best player on the current Hornets roster. Michael Jordan and his team did a great job in putting all their trust in Hayward.
It is difficult to speculate if the Hornets can make the playoffs or not. But the way they have been playing basketball, it won’t be difficult for them to make the top 8 of the Eastern Conference.
