'He's clubbin' like he's 21 again': James Harden roasted by Rockets fans for saying he feels 21 years old again

It is time to jump on the James Harden hate train, in case you’ve been living under a rock. The Rockets star made waves with his latest comments again.

Harden had to isolate himself for 4 days after attending a public event for a friend on 21st December. He’s now back in action and will take the floor against the Trail Blazers tonight. The Rockets missed their season opener against the Thunder since they didn’t have 8 fit players.

Tonight should be a different story with the likely return of Ben McLemore and Kenyon Martin Jr. The Rockets will be heavily tipped to lose, given this is a road game in Portland. Damian Lillard and co have traditionally proven tough nuts to crack at home.

Ahead of the Rockets’ first game of the season against the Blazers, Harden was asked about how he felt going into his 12th season:

“I feel like I’m 21 again, even though in reality I’m not. You try to find ways to put your footprint on this league, try to find yourself in this league. Some guys never do it. I know myself all around. That’s why I’m so confident.”

Some people just don’t see the funny side of it, however:

One look at the Rockets star’s current physique will tell you that he probably was a lot fitter when he was 21. Nevertheless, if he mentally feels that age, it’s as good as can be.
