"Hornets will sign LiAngelo Ball ahead of the NBA Summer League": Bleacher Report confirms Michael Jordan is incredibly close to making all the rumors a reality this offseason

NBA Insiders Bleacher Report and Rod Boone reveal Charlotte Hornets’ massive plans for LiAngelo Ball this offseason

It’s finally happening! After years of his brother waiting, LaMelo Ball has finally found a way for LiAngelo Ball into the NBA.

For those that have been following YouTubers such as DKM or Ball Facts, this news is nothing new. In fact, as soon as Gelo decided to ditch the Drew League to stay in Charlotte, fans of the Ball brothers knew something was up.

Fast forward a few weeks, and not only has it been implied that Hornets head coach James Borrego has met Ball, but LiAngelo was even spotted wearing the team’s practice gear, and doing weight training along with Charlotte players.

Despite all this though, there was still a little bit of doubt and fear in the hearts of fans. After all, the man has come close to an NBA contract on multiple occasions and even got on the Piston’s practice roster for a while. But during those times, there was, unfortunately, no real end product.

This time though, things are looking very different for the Ball family. In fact, it may be time for LaVar to whip out his ‘I Told You So’ hat again.

Let’s get into it.

“The Hornets are expected to sign LiAngelo Ball”: This upcoming NBA season could feature a reunion of LaMelo Ball and the often forgotten brother

When Michael Jordan took a chance on LaMelo Ball, many were skeptical. Skeptical about his drive, his ambitions, his motivations, and his overall mentality towards the game. However, as we all know, the Hornets rookie ended the year as the best player in his class and has already shown the ability to play at an All-Star level. Quite simply, it was a 3rd pick well used by MJ. And it seems, that choice has given him some more belief in the Ball family as well.

At this point, we doubt we’ll ever get that much-hyped 1v1 matchup between the GOAT and Michael Jordan. However, the likes of Bleacher Report and Rod Boone have revealed some news that is a very close second. Take a look at the tweet below.

When it’s NBA Insiders reporting something like this, you know it’s a done deal nine times out of ten. And fans are hoping this is the case with LiAngelo Ball too.

It is said that this Ball brother’s role with the team will be heavily reliant on his performance in the upcoming Summer League.

Given his ability, we do think he can be an above-average piece on the Hornets that can contribute to winning basketball. But, like many fans, we do hope that he can be far better than that. And more than anything, we can’t wait to see that Ball brothers connection in the NBA.
