Warriors GM Bob Meyers opens up amid Stephen Curry trade rumors: "The drumbeat never stops"

While there have been rumours surrounding Stephen Curry and his so-called “recruitment” by LeBron, Warriors GM Bob Meyers states how the rumours never stop.

Los Angeles Lakers are one of the strongest teams in the whole league. Despite the earlier hardships and injuries the team had to go through, they still have managed to be one of the strong title contenders. With the leadership of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers aspire to win consecutive titles this season.

Although, if there is one obstacle the Lakers have stopping them from their back-to-back title, it is the overly stacked Brooklyn Nets. With superstars Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie leading the team with 3 other All-Stars, the team looks to be the favourites to win the title this season.

After managing to acquire the 6-foot-10 center Andre Drummond from the Cleveland Cavaliers, LAL has one more spot on their roster. Recently, rumours have surrounded Warriors superstar Stephen Curry and how LBJ has been attempting to sign him on the Lakers.

The rumors grabbed Bob Meyers’ attention, who then decided to put a stop to them. Meyers stated how some rumors surrounding great players, just never stop. Bob added:

“We’re never going to stop hearing it. It doesn’t matter if a guy signs an extension anymore, whether it’s one of our guys or any guy. The drumbeat never stops.”

“I think rumors like that or any rumor about a great player, they’ll always be there as long as the player’s great. But all we can do is make our place of work somewhere people show up and feel like they can compete”

“Stephen Curry is happy and in a good place”: Bob Meyers puts an end to all the rumors

Clearly, Stephen Curry has played a vital role in the Warriors’ success over the last couple of years. The future Hall-Of-Famer has gotten everything he’s asked for with the Warriors. Bob Meyers stated how he believes Curry is happy and in a great place. Meyers said:

“I think Steph’s felt like we’ve given him a really good chance in his time and career to compete individually and team-wise. And that’s what we’re going to keep trying to do. … What I would say: I think Steph’s happy. I think he’s in a good place. I think things are going to be fine with him.”

Stephen Curry is a 3-time NBA Champion and a 2-time league MVP. Once all said and done, Curry will go down as one of the best Warrior to play the game. He’s a sensational talent who has spent 12 glorious years with the Golden State organisation.

The love Steph receives from his own fans, and the millions around the globe, is absolutely unreal. It is highly unlikely that a seven-time All-Star would part ways with the team. Wherever Curry decides to play, won’t have any change in the legacy he has created.
