“People said Devin Booker hasn’t really played meaningful basketball”: Devin Booker shuts down naysayers as he makes his Conference Finals debut
Devin Booker makes his way to the conference finals in the very first post-season appearance of his fledgling NBA career.
Booker is one of the best talents the NBA has ever witnessed. Only a few years into the league, the 24-year old has had some remarkable moments on the NBA hardwood the best being his 70 points performance at the TD Garden.
The 2x NBA All-Star has been extraordinary in the 2021 NBA Playoffs. The Phoenix star has been averaging 27.9 PPG, 6.8 RPG, and 4.9 APG so far in the post-season, shooting 48.7% from the field and a noteworthy 91.7% from the free-throw line.
The rise of Phoenix star Devin Booker
Though the Phoenix Suns have been phenomenal this year. It was there 8-0 performance at the Bubble last year that gave us a small peek of how the team was going to dominate in the coming years.
Booker led the Suns in PPG as they eliminated the LA Lakers, who were the defending champions. NBA superstar LeBron James showed his respect to Booker by gifting him his jersey with his signature that also read “continue to be great”.
This was followed by some great performances in the semi-finals, as the Suns swept the Nuggets, making their first conference finals appearance since 2010.
During a recent interview with Inside the NBA on TNT, Booker described how he had been waiting on this moment for a very long time.

Booker credited Chris Paul, Jae Crowder, and coach Monty Williams for the team’s success this year.
The Phoenix star has always held Chris Paul in high regard and even had some kind words for the veteran post the win:
“You can ask anybody on this team how has Chris developed your game and everybody’s going to have a lengthy answer because he cares.”
