On Wednesday night, Russell Westbrook and the Washington Wizards hosted the Anthony Davis-led Lakers team at the Capital One Arena.
Entering the game, the Wizards carried their winning momentum clinching 9 out of 11 victories. Working out well for Washington, they defeated the defending champions 116-107.
Despite having Anthony Davis back in the lineup, the Lakers couldn’t quite stop the wrath of Russell Westbrook who finished with a massive 18 points, 18 rebounds and 14 assists triple-double. Bradley Beal too had an impressive game like he has been having this season, finishing with a game-high 27 points.

“No wonder LeBron James was caught being on his phone”: Skip Bayless following the Lakers loss
The one player who the Lakers have been missing immensely is their leader LeBron James. Without their MVP on court, it’s been quite a struggle for LAL, having a poor 8-13 record.
LBJ, who usually is pretty vocal and seen motivating his players when sidelined, was spotted being on his phone and even leaving the game early.Skip Bayless reacted to this while appreciating Westbrook for his tremendous performance. Skip urged the King to return back to his team from his “vacation”.
“Lakers lose at Wizards as Westbrook goes for 18/18/14. 18 rebounds! 7 more than the Big Penguin! No wonder LeBron was caught on camera on the bench on his phone. Hurry back from vacation, King.”

AD did have a decent outing with 26 points and 5 points, but ever since his return to the lineup, LAL has lost 3 of the last 4 games. Slipping down to the 5th spot in the West with an underwhelming 36-26 record, they can potentially find themselves playing the newly-added play-in tournament.
While it has been a pretty terrific playoff push for the Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers definitely need to finish out the remaining 10 games of the season stronger to enter the playoffs with some momentum.
