LeBron James lavishly praised Barack Obama after the latter played a crucial role to get the league back on track post the boycott.

Former US President Barack Obama played a crucial role to get the league back on track after the players boycotted the playoff-games after an unarmed black man Jacob Blake was shot seven times by the police.

Now, Lakers’ superstar has heavily praised Obama and stated that he wished that he was still the leader of the nation. Obama completed his second term in January 20, 2017 and as per the rules of the constitution of the country, a President can have a maximum of two tenures.

LeBron James wishes Barack Obama is still the US President

LeBron James stated after the Lakers’ game 4 victory that he had one foot out of the bubble after the Jacob Blake incident.

However, the superstar was urged to continue on by longtime basketball fan, Barack Obama.

James has maintained a great relationship with the former president. Obama was the first African-American president in the country and had great relations with the NBA fraternity unlike the current president, who takes frequent shots at the league for standing up to racial inequality and police brutality in the country.

LeBron James and his relationship with Donald Trump

3-time NBA champion LeBron James has always played his role to help his community. But, the icon has always been at loggerheads with current president Donald Trump and his representatives.

Trump feels the NBA is a political organisation and that LeBron James is mixing politics with sports a little too much. According to the President, James should focus solely on his game and not get into matters that he does not understand.

The Lakers star, however, wants his legacy off the court to ensure upliftment of African-Americans in the country. He has been working tirelessly to ensure the black community gets to vote this Presidential elections, so that they can bring about real change in society.

James will now have a couple of days off as the Lakers sealed the series against the Blazers’ yesterday. LeBron James recorded his 13th 30-point triple-double in game 5 as the Lakers coasted to a victory against a Damian Lillard-less Blazers. The kid from Akron took some time to adjust to the bubble lifestyle but has upped his game in the playoffs.
