Each passing game is pushing the Los Angeles Lakers farther away from a 50% win record. Despite all the exceptional attempts of LeBron James to help his team win, the gold and purples refuse to improve their standing. This entire season, they have struggled to breach the top 10 spots in the Western Conference even.

Now, they need to win 4 games in a row to equalize their win-loss record. Standing at the 13th spot, it’s difficult to imagine them even being a part of the play-in tournament. Which is so unfortunate for their 38-year-old superstar.
LeBron James has been undoubtedly brilliant this season. Even though he is getting older by the second, his age seems to have no effect on his performance. However, his durability has definitely taken a hit recently. LeBron has been far less game-fit than he was in his previous seasons. In fact, he has already missed ten games and may miss his 11th on Wednesday.
LeBron James questionable against the Kings
The Lakers are scheduled to play the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. With James marked as questionable due to left ankle soreness, the Lakers will likely face their next opponents without him.
In case the Lakers coaching staff decides to sit James, the Lakers will be terribly matched against Sacramento. After all, the Kings are the 4th seed in the West. They are 3rd offensively, not the best matchup for the gold and purples. We are convinced that without James and Anthony Davis, Darvin Ham’s squad has no chance of winning the next game.

Though, there is still a probability LeBron could feature in the game. The status at the moment is day-to-day. And while questionable shows concern, it still leaves a slight possibility open.
Of course, with Lebron James playing, the game would be a lot different. James is single-handedly capable of matching any team’s scoring output. His exceptional playmaking skills and recent connection with Thomas Bryant might work in their favor.
LeBron’s stats in 2022-23
LeBron is averaging 29.7 points per game this season. Fascinatingly, he was averaging the same in 2009-10 when he was 25. Compared to that season, LeBron’s current rebounding, field goal percentage, and 2-point percentage are better. Though, in the last 12-13 years, his defensive abilities have taken a hit.
This season, LeBron is making 51.1% of his field goals while averaging 8.4 rebounds and 7 assists. These are incredible numbers even without his age in the equation. Do you think LeBron can win an MVP this season?
