The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 114-113 in OT last night. The win against the Thunder marks the sixth straight win for the Lakers. It was not an easy road to a six-game win streak. The last three games went into OverTime for the Lakers. They beat the Pistons in a double OT encounter, followed by two OT wins over the Thunder in back-to-back encounters.
In both the encounters against the Thunder, the Lakers were without Anthony Davis, who is out due to an Achilles injury. In his absence, LeBron James did what he does best and led the Lakers to victory.
Last night, James recorded 25 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds, which included a game-tying three to force an OT. Montrezl Harrell chipped in with 20 points, while Dennis Schroder added another 19 points. For the Thunder, Al Horford led the way with 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Kyle Kuzma shares advice given to him by LeBron James
Playing in overtime can get exhausting, with all the fatigue of the game, and the additional pressure the OT brings. Imagine playing in three of them in a row! The Lakers have been facing this ordeal, as they entered their 4th overtime period in three games last night.
As a veteran presence, LeBron James had some words of advice for the younger players on the squad. After the game, Kyle Kuzma shared with the rest of us what King James shared with them.
Kuzma said he learned this from LeBron:
“Being tired is just in your head … that dude’s a beast. If he says he doesn’t get tired, he doesn’t get tired.”

This isn’t the first time this month LBJ was seen saying this. As the Lakers completed their 7 game road trip with the win over the Hawks in Atlanta, LBJ was seen saying the same. Even though he is in his 18th season, LBJ looks as sharp as ever and has done a tremendous job of leading the Lakers to a 20-6 record this season.
