Ja Morant ‘Cockily’ Flashes Gun on Instagram Live Amid Accusations of Assaulting and Threatening a 17-year-old

The Ja Morant saga that has shocked the NBA world continues to bare its fangs at his future in the league. The Grizzlies’ superstar was accused of beating up a minor and then threatening him with a gun. The original report by Washington Post also suggested Morant was involved in another physical altercation with a mall’s head of security last summer.

With Morant now under immense scrutiny, a few in the league warned him to mend his ways. The NBA world recognizes his talent and are not keen on watching his potential go to waste. However, Ja Morant doesn’t seem to be too affected by the accusations at the moment. He is now being accused of flashing a gun during his IG live today.

Ja Morant, in the last year or so, has been a lot more aggressive than he was early in his career. The Grizzlies in general have been perceived as one of the more aggressive teams. They have been involved in several altercations one of which was with Shannon Sharpe. Now the accusations pointed at Morant only make the Grizzles look worse.

Now, Morant has given the media another talking point with his recent social media gimmick. Legion Hoops shared a post accusing the 23-year-old of flashing a gun on Instagram Live. Though this is yet to be proved as a certainty, this makes things even more difficult for the star point guard. And if true, it also highlights Morant’s impetuous cockiness. The star is clearly taking a shot at all the recent buzz that has surrounded him.

Considering the allegations at hand and Morant’s agent’s statement denying allegations of a gun being involved in his altercation with the minor, Ja’s Instagram live dampens any benefit of the doubt he would have gotten until now. There is a distinct problem at hand. Ja is not only mocking the league but is ending up becoming a more and more problematic athlete by the minute.
