The entire Nuggets vs Jazz series has turned out to be a duel of the Point Guards. Jamal Murray, who is in his 4th year in the NBA has been going head to head with 2018 NBA RoTY runner-up Donovan Mitchell.

Donovan ‘Spida’ Mitchell is leading the 2020 Playoffs in scoring, with 232 points scored in 6 games, at an average of 38.7ppg. The second in place is Jamal Murray, who has scored 204 points in 6 games, at an average of 34.0ppg.

Both Murray and Donovan have been shooting ’50-55-90’ in the postseason. Murray is shooting 58.7% from the field, 57.4% 3s, and 91.3% free throws.  Donovan has made 54.9% of his FG, 55.4% 3s, and is 94.6% from the stripe.

The postseason has seen 4 50pt games, and all 4 have come in this series. Mitchell exploded for 57 in game 1 and 51 in game 4. Murray went off for 50 in game 4, and 50 again in game 6, where they tied the series 3-3.

The Game 7 showdown between Nuggets and Jazz promises to be a cracker of a contest between the two franchise and especially between these two young, high flying guards.

The go big or go home game would be the chance for both the guards to show the world who’s the better player. The winner would end up facing the Clippers for the 2nd round of the playoffs.
