"James Wiseman Doesn't Have a Single Positive Plus-Minus Score!": Warriors Young Star Can't Seem To Get it Together Even in the G-League

James Wiseman is one of those players that has all the tools in the world. He stands at an astounding 7’1”, exactly the kind of size the Warriors need. And once you add that to his insane athleticism and reflexes, it’s just game over for everyone else.

Or at least, that’s how it was supposed to be.

Based on these factors, the Warriors took a risk, choosing to go with James Wiseman over a player with great superstar potential, LaMelo Ball.

But, while the now Hornets star has already made an All-Star appearance, Wiseman can barely get on the court to play, whether that’s due to injuries, or just lack of ability.

Recently, the man even got sent down to the G League, with the hopes that he would improve. But, as an NBA Reddit user recently brought to the limelight, it isn’t looking so good there either.

James Wiseman has yet to have a game with a positive Box Plus-Minus Score After 5 played in the G League

Given the potential James Wiseman has, many expected him to absolutely dominate against the lower level of competition. However, as we said before, that hasn’t quite happened for the big man just yet.

In fact, it’s gone the opposing way completely, as Reddit user ‘_Pho-Dac-Biet_’ revealed in their recent post.

“James Wiseman has a plus-minus of -35 in five games in the G-league. He has yet to have a game with a positive plus-minus.

James Wiseman had had a negative plus-minus in every single G-league game he played this year. As a number 2 pick, he can’t even dominate the G-league. The eye test also shows how lost he is even in G-league games.”

That looks just about horrible for James Wiseman. In fact, a fair few fans are almost ready to call him a bust already.

But is the situation really all that bad?

Give the young man some time

While it doesn’t look great yet, James Wiseman just needs to be given some time.

He has played just 5 games, and he has already started to show some flashes of improvement.

Wiseman was sent down to the G League because he is… bad. There’s no sugarcoating. However, he can improve.

And if Jordan Poole is anything to go by, he’ll turn out pretty well, very, very soon.
