John Wall trade: Wall informs Wizards front office he wants to be traded away from Bradley Beal and co.
John Wall has requested a trade from the Washington Wizards front office after they explored trading him for Russell Westbrook.
Reports surrounding Bradley Beal or John Wall’s departure from the Washington Wizards have been circulating ever since the 2020 offseason commenced.
Rumors of Bradley Beal being traded to the Dallas Mavericks or the Los Angeles Lakers were trending all over social media. None of those trades ever went down however, as Bradley Beal remains committed to the Washington Wizards in the foreseeable future.
The Wizards just signed 3 point marksman Davis Bertans to a 5 year/$80 million deal. However, this wasn’t enough to keep John Wall happy as he reportedly asked for a trade.
John Wall wants out of Washington.
Russell Westbrook has been involved in multiple hypothetical trade scenarios over this past month. The one that stuck out the most was a trade between the Rockets and the Wizards.
The trade was reportedly a John Wall for Russell Westbrook trade. Now, The Athletic’s Shams Charania has reported the Rockets/Wizards have stalled their talks concerning the Westbrook for Wall trade.

Amidst all this, Charania also reports that John Wall wants out of Washington.
Where will John Wall land?
Due to John Wall’s extensive contract( 4 years/$171 million), he isn’t an asset desired by many teams around the league.
Wall’s health is also up in the air at the moment as he has proven to be quite injury prone. The most plausible scenario for the Wizards to move forward would be to further discuss the deal that would send Wall to the Rockets in exchange for Westbrook.
