Andrew Wiggins and his girlfriend Mychal Johnson have been the subjects of some unsavory rumors due to the formers’ absence from the court.

Drafted no. 1 overall in the 2014 NBA Draft, much was expected of the Canadian mixtape sensation. However, he could only make the playoffs once in 5 attempts with the Timberwolves.
Many believed that Wiggins was a sheer waste of talent given his athletic tools. However, once traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2020, he received a new lease of life.
Wiggins became their best two-way player over the course of the next 3 years. His role in the 2022 NBA Finals was pivotal in securing a 4th championship for the Warriors dynasty. He was also named an All-Star last year for his spectacular play.
Andrew Wiggins last appeared in a Warriors game before Valentine’s Day in a win over the Washington Wizards. He’d been having another good Warriors season, having rekindled his career since moving to the Bay Area.
The speculation rose to a fever pitch as the Warriors unconvincingly plodded toward a playoff berth. One particularly vicious rumor was regarding some supposed infidelity on part of his wife, involving his best friend.
Mychal Johnson posts a TikTok video slamming rumor-mongers
Mychal took to TikTok yesterday to post a short video clip, shot outdoors. She seemed to have a go at all of the gossip generated in lieu of Wiggins’ absence for personal reasons:
“And just to clear the air, I don’t give a F*** about how nobody feel about me. Keep feeling it.”

Wiggins and Mychal met each other 10 years ago before they went to college. They got together in 2015 and have become parents of two girls over the past 5 years.
Mychal Johnson was also a member of Notre Dame’s 2018 NCAA Women’s basketball championship team.
When will Andrew Wiggins return?
There is no clarity even within the Warriors’ organization as to when their two-way star will stage a return. Andrew Wiggins has definitely been missed by the team on both ends of the floor – especially in road games.
Although Steve Kerr has clarified that Wiggins has been participating daily in workouts, there is no update regarding his return date. If he does not get back in time for the playoffs, we can expect the likes of Jonathan Kuminga to see extended minutes during the postseason.
