“Kawhi Leonard and Clippers are a Good Team”: Luka Doncic Delivers Shockingly Mundane Response to Tyronn Lue’s Statements
Luka Doncic is about a hop, skip, and a jump away from demanding a trade away from the Dallas Mavericks. And admittedly, the man just can’t be blamed for it. After all, the roster outside of him has looked absolutely helpless for far too much of the season.
Now, this isn’t news by any measure. In fact, fans and analysts alike have theorized for some time now that the man will be asking for a move away very, very soon. However, those in Dallas were hoping that a win against the Clippers would erase all that.
Unfortunately for them, by the time the final buzzer sounded, the score stood at 101-113 to LA. And especially given that this is the team that Doncic likely takes the most pleasure in winning against, the loss must have hurt quite a bit more than any other.
Speaking to that, Tyronn Lue laughingly had a statement to make about Luka Doncic in his post-game presser. And during his turn, Luka Doncic was asked to give his thoughts on the Clippers’ head coach’s statement.
What did Tyronn Lue say about Luka Doncic?
After his franchise secured a hard-earned victory against the Dallas Mavericks, Tyronn Lue sat down with the media. And upon being asked about Luka Doncic, here is what he had to say, as per ‘Basket News’.
“This dude, man… He loves playing against a lot of people, but he really loves playing against us.”
To these comments, Luka Doncic had a rather unexpected answer.
And admittedly, it makes this whole situation just a tad bit boring.
Luka Doncic’s response
Luka Doncic could have leaned into his emotional side on this one. After all, the Clippers are a team that threw out of the playoffs 2 years in a row before the Clippers failed to make the postseason last year.
Given how competitive he is, Doncic likely still wants to make the Clippers pay. But as for his comments on Tyronn Lue’s statement, he treated it like any other.
Luka Doncic on if he really likes playing against the Clippers:
“We lost, so I don’t know if it’s a big night… They’re a great team. They beat us twice in the playoffs. They have a great team and it’s always hard to play against them.” pic.twitter.com/YfmLWmdWI5

Media training usually makes players a bit more boring. And it may have finally gotten to Luka Doncic too.
