"KCP slammed it down like LeBron James": Lakers' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope posterized Clippers' Ivica Zubac in blowout loss last night

Lakers star Kentavious Caldwell-Pope threw down a tomahawk dunk a la LeBron James on Clippers center Ivica Zubac last night.

The LA Lakers have been in a bit of a fix for quite some time now. The franchise’s star duo in LeBron James (ankle) and Anthony Davis (calf) were out for a long time with their respective injuries.

And when they returned, James almost immediately aggravated his injury, while the Brow found it difficult to find his feet. Amidst all this chaos, the franchise recently had to face off against the other team in the same building.

And while the game perhaps didn’t go quite as planned for the reigning champions, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had an incredible moment during the game that the Clippers will want to forget. Without further ado then, let’s get into it.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope threw down a vicious dunk on Ivica Zubac, and fans can’t believe it

There was a scare within the first 10 minutes for the LA Lakers during this game as their superstar in Anthony Davis checked out of the game and never came back.

Fans feared the absolute worst at the time. However, reports have since revealed that the player is only suffering from back spasms, and is likely to suit up for the next game.

A few minutes prior to AD signing out of the game though, is a moment that undoubtedly got Lakers fans jumping. Take a look.

This needs to serve as a PSA to the league. When Kentavious Caldwell-Pope jumps, just get out of the way. The man has some sneaky bounce and is probably ready to dunk on just about anybody after that poster.

KCP as an overall player as well has been a reliable player for the franchise throughout this season. While his 9.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists may not be very eye-popping, he provides incredible value on both ends whenever he plays. And considering the fact that he is now even shooting 41% from three for the season, perhaps the player deserves more credit as an impactful piece to a contender.
