“Kobe Bryant Talked Intelligent Trash”: Gilbert Arenas Reveals How The Black Mamba Made Everybody Second-guess Everything
Kobe Bryant is a man who has accomplished much in the world of basketball. The reason for his success primarily comes down to his skills. Although, his intelligence played a big role as well.
For all his shooting, defending, and ball handling, it was Kobe’s IQ that made him special. The man used his brain and calmly calculated every move he made on the court.
This includes the words he used as well. His ability aside, the Black Mamba was an excellent trash talker. Just ask Gilbert Arenas.
Gilbert Arenas claims Kobe Bryant could make you think twice when he started trash talking
In the early 2000s, there were a couple of players who were known for their strong mentalities. Two of them were Gilbert Arenas and Kobe Bryant.
Both men were focused, competitive, and driven. And, of course, both men could ball. But, No Chill Gil refused to do one thing, and that is to get into a trash-talking contest with the Black Mamba. Why? Because Kobe’s trash talk was so intelligent that it always had you second-guessing everything.
“A lot. It was trash…but it was intelligent trash. It was intelligent trash. He always had you second-guessing what you were doing!”
Arenas has it right. Whether it comes to straight-up basketball skill or trash talk, Kobe Bean Bryant isn’t someone you want to mess with.
After all, the Mamba Mentality is what helped Kobe win five NBA Championships, and cement his place as one of the greatest of all time.
Kobe’s mentality and desire to win helped him become one of the best we’ve ever seen
Kobe Bryant had a storied career in the NBA. Five NBA Championships, two Finals MVPs, a Regular Season MVP, and multiple All-Star and All-NBA team selections. Kobe has accomplished so much, and it is all down to his Mamba Mentality.
