Kobe Bryant's $325 Special Edition Jerseys Sell Out Immediately After Vanessa Bryant Posted it on Instagram

If you think the fanfare around Kobe Bryant’s jerseys is non-existent, think again. He is by far one of the 21st century’s most iconic players. And even today, if you say Kobe Bryant and special edition jerseys, it will ring alarm bells for fans. Vanessa Bryant did just that and the results were terrific.

As part of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary, certain jerseys got the special edition treatment, and like every big legend, Kobe too, was honored. A special 2007-08 Lakers jersey was released today. It comes in a platinum colorway and by the looks of it, it is fresh.

And in a matter of moments, it was sold out. Of course, they were not cheap but then fans are aplenty and Kobe’s name is enough to sell out a lot of merchandise. Although it required a slight push from Vanessa Bryant.

Vanessa Bryant posts about Kobe Bryant’s limited edition $325 jersey and it sells out instantly!

True story, all it took was one post. Yes, Vanessa’s single post on her Instagram was all it took. The fanfare around Bryant’s jerseys might be too much.

The jerseys were retailing for $325 and it looks like a little push helped it sell out. The NBA will certainly be happy. And perhaps Bryant might be smiling from up above too.

Perhaps, the best part about the sales is that proceeds from the jersey will go towards the Mamba and Mambacita organization. A wholesome gesture.

Bryant’s jersey selling out in minutes stuns Twitter

It seems as though there was far more demand than expected.

In a world where memorabilia value is shooting up, was this a warranted exercise? $325 for a jersey is already expensive. In the resale market prices will rise up. The colorway is new. And hence the quick sales.

Some scalpers are reportedly selling it at a 20% markup already! We guess everyone will just have to wait. What do you think? Should there have been a limited number?
