Kyle Kuzma game winner vs Nuggets

Kyle Kuzma game winner vs Nuggets lit up the Bubble for the struggling Lakers, as the young star drained the 3 from a lovely play setup by Frank Vogel.

The Lakers had their task cut out against a well-oiled Nuggets team tonight, but in the end a Kyle Kuzma game winner sealed the deal for the Los Angeles outfit.

The young Lakers star has time and again been criticised for his erratic offensive play. However, tonight, when it was required, Kuzma came up with the goods.

With 4.5 seconds on the clock and the game in the balance at 121 a piece, Frank Vogel called for a time-out. Traditionally with the Lakers, you would expect either LeBron or AD to take the game winning shots. But in tonight’s setup, Vogel went in for the hot-handed Kuzma.

LeBron was responsible for the in-bound pass and he dished it out to Anthony Davis on the low post. AD then waited for a Kuzma cut and handed it over to him for an open 3.

Kuzma, who had played so brilliantly all night, drilled the 3, much to the delight of the Lakers players and the bench.

The Lakers players were quick to celebrate the winner with Kuzma, who had been criticised a lot for not coming up with the goods during crunch situations.

Time and again this year, he has promised that he can be that reliable 3rd scorer for the Lakers, behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Lakers in the NBA Bubble

Things have been a little weird for the Lakers in the Bubble, with them just not being able to click as an offensive unit. However, tonight vs the Nuggets, they seemed like they had a plan and they were able to execute it on the offensive end of the court.

LeBron was back to his best and Davis gave him good support with some crucial plays. Kuzma chipped away with points all through the game and has shown Vogel that he can be a good asset, whenever drafted into that starting lineup.
