“Kyrie Irving is the distraction”- Kendrick Perkins blasts Brooklyn Nets star over NBA bubble comments
Kyrie Irving has been blasted by Kendrick Perkins for being a ‘major distraction’ for the NBA and the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement in America.
Former Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics big man Kendrick Perkins criticized Brooklyn Nets’ point guard Kyrie Irving on his statement that said NBA return will be a distraction for the American Black Community as they fight against the racial injustice in the country.

Perkins said Irving is “confused,” “a distraction” and is “showing a lack of leadership” in his approach to the ‘NBA bubble’ set for July. He further ripped into Kyrie by stating that “If you take Kyrie Irving’s brain and put it in a bird right now … it’s going to fly backwards”

Kendrick thinks that the real distraction is Kyrie as for the past few days he is the one attracting the attention of people regarding the NBA bubble and in that creating distraction for the ongoing movements in America. He also questioned the leadership quality of Kyrie as he is creating unnecessary drama regarding the NBA return.

Perkins has now gone on and posted a tweet regarding Kyrie too, one that berates him further for all the things that he has been advocating the last few days.

Excuse my last tweet…but I really took it light on Kyrie today because I really could Expose the “Cupcake” BS that he’s really doing behind those phone conversations!!! Carry on…

The NBA has its 22-team return-to-play plan in place, it’s clear there’s still a lot to figure out before the games begin. However, as Perkins notes, a number of the league’s biggest stars are on record hoping to return sooner rather than later, if it’s safe to do so.
Perkins ripping into Kyrie is no surprise as the big man back in February said that “Every time I think of that guy, I want to throw up.”
With things heating up against Kyrie, it will be interesting to see how Kyrie will come out to encounter the allegations that many NBA players and Veterans are laying against him.
