“Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and James Harden might be the best trio in NBA history”: Jay Williams explains why the Nets are more fancied than LeBron James and Lakers
Jay Williams makes a bold prediction about Brooklyn’s first-ever ‘big three’ after the mammoth acquisition of James Harden
Popular ESPN host Jay Williams has officially jumped on the Nets bandwagon after they acquired sharp-shooter James Harden. The Nets gave up nearly everything they had in order to facilitate the four-team trade that took the league by storm. Despite being a trade that left many NBA players shocked, the sports commentator fraternity has remained divided on this trade.
Skeptics such as Bill Simmons have publicly admonished Harden for his lack of enthusiasm. Whereas, Jay believes that we are witnessing history being created before our very eyes. The title of ‘NBA’s best trio’ is one that almost no one can agree on. The Nets trio will have to compete with the Warriors legendary trio, the ‘Big Three’ from the Celtics, and many more.
This is the most prolific scoring trio the @nba has EVER seen. If this trade doesn’t get Kyrie Irving’s attention to win it all… I don’t know what will.

What does the James Harden trade mean for Kyrie’s return?
Jay Williams also tweeted that the Harden acquisition could be just what the Nets needed to get Kyrie to come back. After leaving the team more than a week ago due to unexplained personal reasons, no one from the Nets franchise has had an answer as to when Kyrie would return.
Many are optimistic that the announcement of the Harden trade would get Kyrie excited to play and make a run for the championship. Kyrie has not indicated when he will return or the reason why he left. To make matters worse, a video surfaced of him partying with Drake recently.
Despite this setback, Nets GM Sean Marks expressed his excitement for the team after acquiring James Harden. It will be extremely interesting to see how this situation unfolds over the remainder of the season.

It is pertinent to note that the Nets have assembled the most efficient scorers in the league. Jay’s take isn’t necessarily outrageous more than it is ambitious. The Nets franchise is not one that is used to success over the past decade and the expectations are as high as they can be.
