"Maybe if I drink from the right side, it will help with my free throw": LeBron James blames his airball in Lakers vs Mavericks on wine

Lakers superstar LeBron James hilariously blamed his missed free-throw on the wine he’d consumed prior to the game.

The Lakers faced off with the Dallas Mavericks for the Christmas Day match. The Lakers won their first game of the season yesterday, besting Luka Doncic and his Mavericks 138-115.

The Lakers showcased star performances from Anthony Davis, who scored a game-high 28 points while recording 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. LeBron James added 22 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds. Montrezl Harrell also added 22 points and 7 rebounds. For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic put up 27 points and 7 assists in a losing cause.

It was a game that had a lot of exciting moments, but there was one particular moment that had the fans stunned. In the 3rd quarter, the Lakers were up 91-79, when LeBron James air-balled a free-throw.

LeBron James blames it all on his wine

When James hurt his ankle in the season opener against the Clippers, he told us all he will be fine with some around the clock treatment and wine. It turns out James may not have gotten over the effect of the wine.

When talking to the reporters after the game, he partially blames the loss on the wine and says he will try drinking his wine in a ‘vampire’ style for a different result.

The free-throw did not really affect the outcome of the game, as the Lakers ended up beating the Mavericks very comfortably. With his win tonight, LeBron James joins Dwyane Wade as the top of the list of players with the most Christmas wins.

LeBron also climbed to the No. 2 spot on the scoring list on Christmas days, beating Oscar Robinson. LeBron now only trails Kobe for the top spot.
