LeBron James has achieved more than most NBA stars can even dream of, over the course of his career. The King has been a 4-time MVP, a 4-time Finals MVP, a 4-time NBA champion, and so much more in his 18 seasons in the league.
Overall, there aren’t many things that James is unfamiliar with, in the league. Unfortunately for the 36-year-old though, the way things are looking for the Lakers, he may have to come face-to-face with yet another experience.
A concept that was only introduced this year, to compensate for the shortage of games in the regular season. Yep, we might have to see the arguable greatest of all time, in the play-in tournament.
After their loss against the Raptors, the Lakers sit 7th in the West, a play-in tournament spot. Due to this, LeBron James was asked about his thoughts on the topic at hand here. And let’s just say, controversial doesn’t begin to define his answer.

LeBron James calls for the person responsible for the play-in tournament to be “fired”
At 36-years-old, it is a bit excusable for the King to be grumpy about playing some extra games to make the playoffs this season. However, perhaps he went a tad bit too far with his thoughts on the matter.
When asked about the concept of the play-in tournament this season, James simply had this to say.

The Lakers superstar is often able to temper what he says on even social matters on an online platform. So, for him to actually say this, well, you can probably accurately estimate how much he must despise the competition.
Still, rules are rules. And if the franchise can’t find a way to get a win streak going, James will have no choice but to participate in the competition.
