ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, one of the most prominent NBA analysts in the world, recently appeared on the Podcast P. Speaking to the host Paul George, Smith spoke about a range of topics, including his recent beef with the Dallas Mavericks’ Kyrie Irving. During the discussion, Smith was telling George how his sister was a huge PG13 fan. However, she ended up revealing a story that effectively exposed his beef with LeBron James.

Smith, one of the boldest analysts on TV, is never scared to speak his mind. The 55-year-old has in the past vehemently denied LeBron James’ status as the GOAT, according to ESPN. Smith might as well be hinting at an apparent feud with James, who ended up ignoring his sister when she wanted an autograph.
Stephen A. Smith claims LeBron James completely ignored his sister
Stephen A. Smith was telling George exactly why his sister was a huge fan. Comparing his attitude towards his sister with LeBron’s Smith told the following story:
“My sister’s kind of special. My sister Carmen, I mean, Paul George passes gas, she will call perfume. They played game 7 against Miami. They lost that game 7. They lost the Conference final to Miami. My sister’s standing by the steps where the telivison set it, and she wanted an autograph from LeBron. LeBron completely ignored her, and she’s looking at him, she’s trying to get his attention, he completely ignored her, and he couldn’t stand them ever since.”
Compared to how James had completely ignored Carmen, George had sought her out even after a loss. Smith went on to talk about how he was surprised to hear that he wanted a picture with his sister.
At the same time, James ignoring Carmen does not mean he had any idea who she was, or that he did it on purpose. Considering his focus, and that he had just lost a big game, there is always the chance that James ended up ignoring Carmen inadvertently.
Smith also talked about how the LeBron James incident led to Carmen growing to despise the franchise. That, in part, might explain some of Smith’s comments about James.
Stephen A. Smith does not believe LeBron is the GOAT
Smith has in the past given his two cents about the NBA GOAT debate. He inadvertently ended up comparing the two most obvious suspects, in James, and Michael Jordan.
However, Smith was firmly of the opinion that James is not the GOAT. He claimed that James had never been, and can never be greater that Bulls’ MJ.
While Smith backed up his claim with some familiar logic, the above story might also have something to do with his opinion. At the end of the day, the way LeBron ignored his sister is bound to have played at least a slight role.
