When it comes to the sport of basketball, LeBron James can do it all. And it appears that the Lakers are hoping that the man can do it each and every night, with almost no other player on the team making any notable contributions.

Against the Sacramento Kings, the King had 32 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. The man also shot 44% from the field, and 22.2% from beyond the arc.
While the 38-year-old didn’t shoot well from deep, that is a relatively efficient game. And yet, when it all came down to a three to tie the game, he bricked it.
And if you know Skip Bayless, you know that his Twitter fingers were ready to pounce.
And indeed, they did.
Skip Bayless brings back the age-old tale of LeBron James not being a closer
LeBron James has the most points in the 4th quarter of anybody in the NBA this season. However, even with that fact standing it is impossible for any human being to sink all clutch shots. Some are bound to miss the mark.
However, as you’d expect, Skip Bayless didn’t care one bit. Instead, here is what he tweeted out as soon as it happened.
LeBron James: no closer gene. The “King” loses to the Kings without Sabonis … because he AGAIN failed to close a game begging to be won by him.

As soon as he missed the shot, it is likely that even LeBron James knew what was going to happen. And frankly, we’d be willing to bet our bottom dollar that he winced at the very thought of it.
Skip Bayless aside though, what were the fans’ reactions on the matter?

Again… Lebron can’t close… we know it and so does Ray Allen… Lebron obsessors can cry me a river. #LeCantClose

He bricked the game tying three 🤣🤣 hey at least he took the shot this time and didn’t run away like the Phili game. Lebron will never be jordan or Kobe. He’s more like magic. Lebrick not even top 5

A healthy mix of opinions as always.
