“LeBron James is 2nd in the league in turnovers and missed game winners”: Skip Bayless hits Lakers superstar with barrage of reasons for why he isn’t the MVP this season

Skip Bayless makes his case for why LeBron James isn’t the MVP this season due to his excessive turnovers and poor shooting.

The Lakers have had an unusual amount of games going past regulation this past week. They endured a double OT game against the Detroit Pistons and followed that up with an OT win against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Following the Pistons 2OT game, LeBron James came out in disapproval of the Lakers’ defensive efforts which led to the overtime period. He also said that his heart can’t handle two OT periods.

Much to LeBron James’s dismay, the Lakers had yet another OT clash with the Thunder last night but pulled away for the win off the back of James’s 25 point night. Ahead of the OKC game last night, Skip Bayless took to Twitter to berate the 4x champ yet again.

Skip Bayless says that LeBron James shouldn’t win the MVP this season and lists out his reasons

Bayless is relentless in his quest to discredit LeBron James’s greatness in any way, shape, or form. Prior to the commencement of the OKC vs. Lakers game, Bayless took to Twitter to point out several flaws in his 2020-21 MVP campaign.

He sheds light on James’s turnover rate, which ranks 2nd in the league behind Luka Doncic. He then proceeded to say that LeBron’s free throw percentages aren’t up to par. LeBron James is currently making 4.1 free throws out of 5.7 attempts per game.

Skip also took shots at his clutch shot-making ability this season. James has missed a couple of game-tying shots but he’s also made a couple too. The perfect example would be last night’s game where he hit a 3 to tie the ballgame up 105 apiece. Shannon Sharpe called him out on this on Twitter.

Bron then proceeded to get the clutch steal off an inbounds pass late in OT to seal the win for the Lakers. LeBron James is currently averaging more points and more rebounds this season than last. He’s also recording lesser turnovers and shooting better from the field, beyond the arc, and the charity stripe in comparison.
