"LeBron James is playing unbelievably great defense": Skip Bayless admits to 'falling out of his chair' after learning the Lakers star's #1 rank in Defensive Winshares

LeBron James leads the NBA in defensive win shares this season. This comes as news to Skip Bayless, who admits he ‘fell out of his chair’ to learn of it.

You know you are successful when you have haters. And nearly nobody in the game of basketball has as many as LeBron James in the NBA. But, even among the most flamboyant, ‘Undisputed’ host Skip Bayless stands out as the biggest hater of the arguable goat.

Bayless has publicly spoken out with nothing but criticism for LeBron James on multiple occasions. And while sometimes it is valid, it is simply outrageous on most occasions. The agenda behind it is to only promote the show on different platforms.

And so, given why Skip Bayless is so infamous among fans of the Lakers star, it only feels that much sweeter when the host finally acknowledges James’s greatness.

“I was shocked and fell out of my chair” Skip Bayless acknowledges LeBron James’s defensive stat

Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers probably remember a time when LeBron James refused to play defense. However, they will also be quick to point out how good he has been this season, on that end, and justifiably so.

LeBron James has stepped it up on defense ever since Anthony Davis showed up in Los Angeles. The King is performing so well, he has been ranked #1 in defensive win shares in the entire NBA this season, despite being 36. That, ladies and gentlemen, is greatness.

And it seems Skip Bayless agrees completely. This is what he had to say on the matter.

“This is a very difficult topic for me because I have a confession to make. Last night when this topic (Lakers’ defense) reared it’s ugly head…I checked on individual defensive win shares. And I was shocked and fell out of my chair to find that LeBron James is ranked #1 in defensive win shares. That’s impossibly good, that’s great.”

We don’t know if LeBron James has seen this just yet, but his fans surely have. And boy, will they be hoping for more from the controversial host in the future.
